Lexie is a Quarter horse mare we posted in December. She was going to be sent to the auction, and most likely end up with a killer buyer. A person offered to take Lexie for her lesson program, but her vet said that Lexie would not be able to perform the work required for her program. Update: Lexie has a home!
We are very pleased to report that Lexie is now at her new home in Menifee, with several horsie friends and a lot of carrots! :) Lexie is a Quarter horse who was taken in as a trade by the owner of a stable in Orange County; when she came up lame, he was going to send her to the auction. She has an enlarged knee and a clubbed right foot, so her most likely end would have been slaughter.
