We are very pleased to announce that our very own board member and volunteer coordinator, Charlotte, has decided to adopt Sierra! Hanaeleh rescued Sierra in August of 2021. Before she came to us, Sierra had been given to a family who had no horse experience. We have been asked to post some of the horses at the feedlot who are in need of homes- many of these are youngsters! UPDATE: Two Auction Horses, Whiskey and Bella – 3/4 of funds raised!
We are so pleased that we have raised almost 3/4 of the total needed to rescue the two horses at auction in just two days! We have been able to pay for the bail for these two horses, and have contacted the hauler to get these two to their new home in Arizona. We have also arranged for a health certificate and Coggins, which the feedlot will help with. URGENT: Two Horses at Auction- Need Funds ASAP!
Hanaeleh was made aware of a large group of horses that were dumped at a Texas kill pen. These horses were essentially someone's pets, and when they ran out of money, instead of calling a rescue to place them, they sent all of these horses to potential slaughter. There were so many horses, including babies, who were in danger of being shipped out to slaughter.
