Memorial Day

May 27, 2013 By ezarkos

Hanaeleh would like to recognize the sacrifices that the men and woman of the United States have made in the service of this country. In addition, we would also like to recognize animals who have served our military, including dogs, horses, pigeons, dolphins, orcas, and even sea lions! Dogs have officially served in the military in the United States since 1814 to protect individuals and carry secret communications across enemy lines.  We do not officially know how many dogs have served … [Read more...]

Maggie Update

May 22, 2013 By ezarkos

Last week we had Maggie tested for Cushings- with her coat growing in the way it has and her general attitude, we wanted to do the blood test to check to see if she was Cushinoid. The results came back and she is, indeed, Cushinoid.  We will start her on medication this week and have already changed her diet.  She is going to live with Delilah in the bottom paddock as we want to ensure that Sapphire does not lose weight as a result of the new diet. Sapphire will move up next to Gypsy and … [Read more...]

Saturday was great- the horses all got out and were exercised.  They are looking quite dashing with their summer coats! … [Read more...]
