First of all, thank you to all of those people who have donated to Lexie's cause! It is so very much appreciated! Lexie is continuing to do well. Today Emily and I spent about a half an hour bathing her hind legs and under her tail. We would have given her a full bath, but the weather was not cooperating, so that will have to wait. UPDATE: Lexie is at Hanaeleh
Some of you may remember Lexie, a little Quarter horse we helped to rescue last year. Lexie was from a local stable, and was going to be sent to auction because she had a bad knee and her owner did not want to care for her any longer. We found a home for Lexie first with a woman who ran a lesson program, but after a few weeks she said that Lexie would not work in her program. UPDATE: Lexie’s New Home
Last Saturday we drove Lexie up to her new home in Bakersfield. She did very well on the trip up- walked right into the trailer, and was quiet the entire ride. Her new owner will be Jeff, a young boy with autism who wants a horse of his own to love and to walk around the arena right outside of his home. Update: Lexie has a home!
Update: We have a home for Lexie, the Quarter horse we rescued in December. She is going to a wonderful family in Bakersfield and will help their 11 year-old son learn how to ride.
