Noelle was rescued by Hanaeleh in December 2019, and lived with her foster mom until April 2021, when she came to Hanaeleh. Noelle is a little Quarter horse who was probably used as a gymkhana horse, but unfortunately she was hurt very badly, and instead of giving her time to heal, her owner just gave her drugs and kept making her run, until she was so lame that even the drugs stopped working. Noelle and Venus Become Friends
It's been a few months since we moved Noelle up near Venus, but the girls have quickly become best friends! After a few weeks of being neighbors with Venus, Noelle started yelling for her and getting upset when we took her away from the stall, even though she had her buddy Rio to hang out with. Venus doesn't seem to care much if Noelle leaves, however, and Noelle has no issues when we take her away from her stall and leave Venus alone... we've all had relationships like that. Noelle’s New Shoes
This past Sunday we had the farrier come out to trim the horses' feet. We keep all of our horses barefoot when it's possible, but sometimes horses need corrective shoes. It is very comforting to know that we have a farrier who can trim both a four-point barefoot trim as well as one who has the knowledge for more difficult and specialized shoes. Welcome Noelle!
Noelle's Rescue Hanaeleh rescued Noelle in December 2019. Auction Horses Rescue (AHR) had originally tried to rescue her from an auction, but she was purchased by someone else. Concerned about her well-being, they gave the owner their information in case things did not work out. After a short time, the owner called- he could not catch her at all, and it was apparent that she had been given drugs to mask her overwhelming pain during her time at the auction, as she could barely move around.
