New Rescues

Meet Maggie and Ulysses. Both are from the Riverside shelter. They were both abandoned in the riverbed by their owners, respectively. Maggie needs a lot of weight and some dental and farrier care. Ulysses is covered with scars across his back and face, presumably from his previous owner. Ulysses had some issues when we picked him up- first, he didn't want to leave his stall (probably so happy he was getting fed everyday!). We are still evacuated and we continue to monitor the fire information. The fire is about 24,000 acres and 8% contained (as of Friday 9/13 afternoon).
