UPDATE: Delilah

December 19, 2018 By ezarkos

Delilah is a beautiful grey Thoroughbred who was adopted out several years ago by an incredible woman with a heart of gold! Shortly after she adopted her, Delilah became very sick and was diagnosed with an incredibly rare form of cancer. Almost every grey horse has some sort of melanoma, but they do not affect the lifespan of the horse. In Delilah's case, however, she had a rare case of lymphoma, as well as lesions in her jaw and was even diagnosed with Equine Herpes Virus. When faced with these … [Read more...]

Her internal organs are still free and clear of the lymphoma and all but one tumor have be gone now for … [Read more...]

UPDATE: Delilah Needs Help!

September 14, 2015 By ezarkos

Delilah chowing down on her grain after treatment on her jaw.

Many of you may remember Delilah, who was adopted last November. She and her owner have been doing wonderfully together.  Unfortunately, this past month Delilah had a major medical issue where a tumor in her jaw exploded.  Her owner did extensive testing and worked with her vet to help save Delilah.  The prognosis is very good as it was shown that none of the tumors were around any major organs, and Delilah bounced back very quickly when given treatment. Below is an update on Delilah. Her … [Read more...]

A wonderful update from Delilah's new owner, Michaela!  Please see her message below: Thought you might like a Delilah update.  She is doing very well- - she and I have become kindred spirits and she is my heart. I still get excited on my drive up to the ranch - or even on the mornings when I know that I am going to see her that day. And, I now am able to ride her both English and Bareback (I have to say I am in love with riding her bareback).  D has a great team of loving professionals … [Read more...]
