We are very pleased to share the news that Tilly has been adopted! We rescued Tilly at the end of March, from a family who loved her very much, but who had been unable to care for her appropriately. Tilly had not been ridden in several months, and while she was fed regularly, she was kept in her stall and was not exercised. Additionally, she needed vet and farrier care. Thankfully, Hanaeleh was able to take Tilly (and her friend, Sable), and within a few months of regular care, Tilly started … [Read more...]
Trabuco Canyon, CA: 22 y/o Quarter Horse Mare (Tilly) for Adoption
A few months ago, we rescued Tilly and Sable from a neglect situation. Their owners very much needed help, and we were thankful that we were able to take both horses. She is a dun color with a dark dorsal stripe down her back, and a beautiful mane and tail (the bottom of her tail had been cut, but it is growing back out now). We have been riding her … [Read more...]

And we did quickly find this guy a wonderful new horsie mom up in L.A. Elizabeth was scheduled to pick up Hershey from his … [Read more...]
For Adoption: Cindy Lou (22 y/o Paint Mare)- Companion Home Only
Cindy Lou is a 22 year-old Paint mare who came to Hanaeleh in December of 2019. Although we have determined that Cindy Lou would not be a good candidate as a riding horse, she would be an excellent companion horse for someone who needs a beautiful paint mare. We have been working with her for several months and have gotten her caught up on all of her vet and farrier care. She is sound, healthy and has been doing well barefoot. She gets along well with other horses- in fact, she LOVES other … [Read more...]
