Lisa Ray is a 10 year-old bay Appendix (Quarter horse and Thoroughbred cross) who needs a home. Her owner passed away in a tragic accident and her young daughter is not in the position to care for her. She is located in Orange Park Acres, in Orange County, CA. UPDATE: Sapphire

Last month, our lovely Sapphire developed some swelling along her leg. There didn't appear to be any cut or heat, so we wrapped it, thinking maybe that she had cast herself. The following day, however, the leg was *MORE* swollen, so we knew that there was something else going on, including cellulitis (a bacterial infection that is under the skin). Hanaeleh was recently contacted by Shauna who runs Rising Strides because she needs help rehoming one of her horses, Grace. Grace has had two minor seizures, and while she is still rideable, there is a risk that she could have a seizure while under saddle. The seizures do not prevent her from having a full life otherwise.
