Abe and Starlight: The Backstory In April, Hanaeleh posted that we were trying to save two baby foals who were going to be sent to slaughter. Their mothers had already been shipped :-( and these babies had literally hours before they were going to be put on the truck to Mexico (laws state that any horse six months or older can be sent to slaughter). 8/14/23- We received several inquiries from people who were willing to take this gorgeous boy! The owner believes that he has plenty of good leads and Felix will go to a good home. Welcome Tillie to Hanaeleh!
Tillie is an 18 year-old chestnut Quarter horse mare (we know- ANOTHER chestnut mare!). She is very sweet but very opinionated (as all good chestnut mares are), and will let us know what she thinks about any given situation. This sweet girl came to Hanaeleh because her owner is dealing with a number of medical issues and was no longer able to care for her horse.
