Rescue Story: Two Arabian Mares are Safe!
The Grey Mares are Safe! It was pouring rain when we drove up to the stable early Friday-after-Thanksgivingmorning. We met Kathy, the woman who told us the two mares were destined for slaughter because their owner had stopped coming out or paying for them. Thank You to Employees Community Fund of Boeing CA – Grant
Hanaeleh has just been awarded a $5,500 grant from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing, California. We are very thankful to not only the employees of Boeing, but to Dee Thomas (one of our volunteers) for helping us with this grant. This grant will allow Hanaeleh to continue to improve its facility by purchasing pipes to replace the electrical tape in the top and bottom paddocks, mats for the stalls, and replace the wood in the panels. Hanaeleh is participating in the 1st annual OC Race for the Rescues, which will take place in the Great Park in Irvine on Sunday, November 10th.
