Pico Rivera, CA: We received a message asking to help place Muñeca (Mun for short), a 20 year-old Quarter horse mare. Mun is very sweet and the owner says she is good with other horses, kids, dogs, and she adores cats. Mun lives in the owner’s backyard in Pico Rivera, which is close to Montebello (in L.A. county).
Mun’s owner says that she is the perfect beginner horse and is essentially bombproof. She has some arthritis in her front legs, so she would not be good for longer trail rides, but she can still be ridden for shorter, more leisurely trail rides.
Mun has shoes, and is currently on alfalfa hay and Bermuda pellets.
Mun’s owner is no longer able to afford to care for her, so she is looking for a new home for Mun.
