UPDATE: Savannah Loves Her New Home!

April 1, 2018 By ezarkos

Although we ask that all of our new horse owners give us annual updates on the horses we adopt out to them, we often like to go down to see the horses when it's convenient. Savannah's new owner asked if we would like to go down to see her, and of course we said, "YES!" and headed out to see her this afternoon. We first rescued Savannah in 2014- she had been found starving to death in a paddock up north with a foal at her side. A home was quickly found for her foal, and a wonderfull … [Read more...]

Savannah, Tamahome and Girl Scouts

August 31, 2015 By ezarkos

Girl Scouts petting Savannah.

Hanaeleh was invited to present at a local Girl Scout Jamboree in Irvine this month.  The girls learned about feed, tack, parts of the horse and horse behavior. We also taught them how to approach a horse and the girls were able to pet them as well. Our two ambassadors were Savannah and Tamahome, who enjoyed their time with the girls, getting treats and attention (they also enjoyed eating the grass!). They conducted themselves well, and were patient and kind to the girls who were a little … [Read more...]

July 1, 2015 By ezarkos

Last month, her owner contacted Hanaeleh and said he could no longer keep her due to his medical issues, so she came back to Hanaeleh, and is once again looking for her forever home! Savannah is a beautiful mare and is very, very sweet. She loves attention and … [Read more...]
