It is with great sadness that we report that Clyde/Cullen has passed away. Clyde has been with us since February of this year (just a few months). We rescued him and another horse, Bonnie/Haven, from a truly horrible situation. They had been starved and neglected for a very long time. We weren't certain if they would even live a few months, but with a lot of love and care, they started improving. Update: Clyde (August, 2020)
Clyde/Cullen has been living over in a foster home in Orange Park Acres for the past several months. He and Bonnie/Haven came to us in February, starving and severely neglected. Their owner hadn't taken care of them or fed them for a long time, and they were a week away from starving to death. Their feet hadn't been trimmed in months, and they could barely walk. RIP Bonnie (Haven)
We are very saddened to announce that we have had to euthanize Bonnie (She was originally named Haven, but the volunteers at her foster home had begun calling her "Bonnie" and her friend "Clyde"). She seemed fine in the morning when she was fed, but later that day one of the volunteers realized there was something "off" with her in the arena. Update: Haven and Cullen- May 2020
Haven and Cullen were moved a few months ago to a more permanent foster home in Orange Park Acres. They are doing very well, so we thought we would share a little update with them! They are currently being cared for by one of our board members, Kelley, and her group of mentees who she is training for Equine Assisted Coaching.
