It is with deepest sadness that we report that our dear friend Sally Wooldridge passed away last week due to complications of cancer. Sally was not only a dear friend to those of us at Hanaeleh, but also served as our Vice President and as our head of community outreach. New Pony at Hanaeleh
OMG we have a pony! Zebedee is a little grey 8 year-old Welsh cross pony and he is absolutely adorable. He is staying with us due to overflow from the Sylmar fires, but he is also up for adoption! Zebedee was rescued two years ago from an auction. He had been used by charros for roping/tripping practice, and when his owner took him he had scars on his legs from the ropes. Trabuco Canyon, CA: 8 y/o Welsh Pony Needs Home
Zebedee is an 8 year-old Welsh-cross pony gelding. He's only 46" (11.2 hands) tall! Hanaeleh rescued Zebedee when he lost his house in the Sylmar fire. His owner rescued him from a low-end auction two years ago. Zebedee had been used by charro riders to practice their roping- when his owner rescued him, he had rope burns across his legs, and he is still shy about ropes coming over his head. Sad News: Las Vegas Shooting and Hanaeleh
The mass shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday night has been devastating to our nation. It has hit especially close to the Hanaeleh family as well; Katie, our volunteer coordinator, notified us that her daughter was shot in the head that fateful night. We are incredibly thankful that Katie's daughter was not killed, and although her condition is guarded, we'll probably not know a lot for several weeks.
