Hanaeleh helps to network horses who need homes, free of charge. These horses are offered free to a good home, but an adoption agreement and contract are often suggested. Hanaeleh is not responsible for any of the information provided and does not know anything beyond what is listed in the post- please contact the owner directly.
Señorita is a 14 year-old mare. She is 15.3 hands high, sorrel, and has not been ridden in the past 7 years. She has been cleared by the vet for light trail, but can’t lope under saddle due to a neck injury/condition, and it would be best if she found a companion home. She has a misshapen cervical facet in her neck and has some compression on her spine which causes her back end to drop out at any gait faster than a trot sometimes, and has bucked in the past. That aside, she is otherwise healthy. The vet has assured the owner that Señorita isn’t in any kind of discomfort or pain. She is barefoot.
Señorita is currently living in a paddock with two other horses and gets along well with them. She will need an intermediate handler, and can get stressed when she’s away from her paddock buddies. She is exercised regularly in the arena, and is good while being groomed and stands well for the farrier. She does love to run in the large arena and loves playing in water.
Her owner would like her to find a companion home as she is very friendly and affectionate, or perhaps someone experienced who can work with her physical limitations.
Señorita is NOT at Hanaeleh. If you are interested in helping Señorita find a companion home, please contact her owner Rache via e-mail: rachel.whittaker@ymail.com .
