Maggie

Maggie is a 24 year-old Arabian who came to Hanaeleh from the Riverside Animal Shelter.  It took us a few months to put weight on her, but now she is very fat and happy!  Maggie was so emaciated when she came to us that she didn't shed out her winter coat from the previous year because her body did not have enough nutrients to grow another one.  Now she is so shaggy- her old, icky coat is finally coming out and it looks like it's snowing every time we groom her! Delilah

Delilah is an 8 year-old Thoroughbred mare who is looking for a home! She was abandoned at a neighbor's stable after suffering with a nail embedded in her hoof for a period of time. She was emaciated and in pain when we took her in; she has gained about 400 pounds and looks great! We have had a few volunteers who have spent many hours working with her on sensory items, and we have been working with her under saddle.
