Sadly, we were contacted by a woman who has been forced to close her horseback riding school. She has successfully found homes for all of her horses except two—and their situation is urgent. Please see the information below for details on each horse and how you can help.
Cruz
20 year-old white Quarter Horse gelding
He is gentle, with a calm disposition and is good with children. He was diagnosed with navicular but is still rideable. He has been used for riding in the arena and the owner says he is good for light trail riding. He is currently barefoot and is being fed alfalfa.
Beau
9-year-old chestnut Thoroughbred gelding
Beau’s registered race name is KOKO Kandy and he was on the track and won approximately $50,000. He has been trained to ride and works well in the arena but the owner says it appears he has some arthritis. He has been hand-walked on trails and the owner says he has been steady and non-reactive. Beau is barefoot and is fed alfalfa.
