Recently Scott Beckstead, Program Director at The Wild Beauty Foundation, animal rights attorney and wild horse expert, debated Nevada's State Senator Ira Hansen (R) about America's wild horse management issues. RIP Grace
We are very saddened to report that we had to make the very difficult decision to help Grace across the Rainbow Bridge. Grace was a lovely little Arabian mare who was in her mid 30s, and unfortunately age and arthritis started to creep up on her, making the past year difficult. This past winter she had lost quite a bit of weight, so we have been trying to continually change her food to find a combination that would help her gain back her weight. End to Cruelty: Budweiser Promises to Stop Clydesdale Tail Docking
We are very pleased to report that Budweiser, home to the famous Clydesdale horses, has promised to stop docking the tails of their horses (Wamsley, 2023). Tail docking can be done either by wrapping the middle of the tail and preventing the blood from getting to the remaining section, thus starving the tissue, or by surgically amputating the tail.
