Update: Ruby

July 24, 2018 By ezarkos

It’s been a while since we’ve posted about our beautiful Ruby! She’s turned 17 this year, and is up for adoption!

Now that it’s summertime and we have more time, we have been longeing Ruby everyday. She has so much energy! Megan loves to longe her, then spend about 15 minutes walking her out under saddle. It’s great for Ruby to move off of the leg, practice bending, as well as encourage collection under saddle.

We have also started taking Ruby out on the street. She is so great! We have such a busy street- there are cars, trucks, dogs, strollers, flags, balloons- you name it! Megan rode Sapphire while Elizabeth rode Ruby, and she was awesome. She spooked herself once when she saw her reflection in the trailer- she spooked, which spooked Sapphire, and Sapphire spooking, ended up spooking Ruby again! Luckily their spook was pretty much just a little jump in place, so it wasn’t a big deal, and was more funny than anything.  Other than that, Ruby was relaxed and seemed to enjoy her time outside of the ranch.

If you know of anyone who is looking for a wonderful horse for dressage, flat work in the arena or trail, please send them our way! We love Ruby, but we know that there is a wonderful person out there who will adore this gorgeous mare!
