An Update on Delilah. Hint: She’s So Happy!

June 23, 2015 By ezarkos

Delilah on a trail ride.

A wonderful update from Delilah’s new owner, Michaela!  Please see her message below:

Thought you might like a Delilah update.

She is doing very well- – she and I have become kindred spirits and she is my heart. I still get excited on my drive up to the ranch – or even on the mornings when I know that I am going to see her that day. And, I now am able to ride her both English and Bareback (I have to say I am in love with riding her bareback).
D has a great team of loving professionals catering to her every whim: touch up hoof trims ever few weeks, monthly massages with essential oils, hand walking and lunging on the days I can’t get to the barn, daily turnouts. She has so many horse buddies at the barn, but I think she loves having her over-sized corral at the top all to herself (next to her special pal, Bud).
We went off property on our first trail ride a couple of weeks ago (see attached photo) with her friend, Stella with whom she feels very comfortable. She didn’t spook once!
Delilah has taught me so much… I’ve learned to be more calm, patient, persistent and firm (in a loving way). All of these things have helped me in both my personal and professional life.
She is a gift, my heart, my soul, my girl. If I could pitch a tent next to her corral and sleep there with my pups, I would.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
