We adopted out Austin this year to a wonderful young woman. Austin had been dumped by his previous owner because he was blind in his left eye. Taylor did not believe that was a deterrant to his being a good horse, however, and worked with him for several months at Hanaeleh before she brought him home. She rides him out on trail and in the arena, and he is also the companion to another, younger, Quarter horse- but he’s able to keep up with the young guy without a problem!
His owner writes:
“He’s doing great and loves our trail rides and the hills are his favorite. He’s even keepin’ up with the kid during turn out days, ha ha!
“We are learning that Austin is a highly trained individual when it comes to arena stuff. He knows showmanship and has flying lead changes.
“I am so happy I found him and you guys as well! It’s been the best so thank you!”
We are so happy that Austin and his owner found one another! They are a lovely match, and we are always thankful for his owner for being able to recognize the wonderful horse Austin could be with just a little love!
