Chocolate is a 20 year-old bay 14-hand Quarter horse mare. She was a champion reining horse and is registered with AQHA and National Reining Association, winning many state and local championships in her day.
Chocolate is an easy keeper and is barefoot. She has ringbone, so she would be better served in a paddock or small pasture. She takes a daily dose of bute, but is still comfortable, and would be a great companion horse. Her owner believes that she would also make an excellent therapy horse. She can no longer carry an adult rider but could carry a child (70 pounds or less) in an arena. She would need at least an intermediate rider.
Chocolate was owned and ridden by the owner’s late girlfriend who sadly died from cancer. She has looked after Chocolate for the three years, but she is moving now must find a placement for her in the next 30 days.
Chocolate is located in Trabuco Canyon, CA, but she is not at Hanaeleh. For more information on Chocolate, please contact her owner Kirk directly at: (949) 212-9203.
