UPDATE:
We received word from the owner that these horses have a safe place to go- it was all thanks to our wonderful network of people who helped to share their story! Thank you again to all of those people who helped find these two girls a wonderful new home!

Hanaeleh received an e-mail from a woman who is trying to find homes for her mother’s two horses. Unfortunately, her mother has been diagnosed with Alzeimer’s and can no longer care for her horses. Her daughter would like to find good homes for the horses. They do not have to go together, although that would be nice!
Information about the horses is below. These horses are NOT at Hanaeleh. For more information, please contact: Annamarie via e-mail: californiapeavy@me.com or by phone: 562-857-7728.
Briosa- Peruvian Paso mare, chestnut, 15+ hands, 16 y/o. She is well-trained and is good out on trail. She has a very smooth gait and canter. She trailers well. She was trained to ride with a side pull (no bit). It has been about two years, however, since she was ridden. She responds to voice commands and is very intelligent. She has papers, and has been with this family since she was old enough to be away from her mom. Briosa is healthy, but needs her feet trimmed and needs vaccinations. She had her teeth floated about two years ago.
Candy- Paso Fino mare, chestnut, 14+ hands, 16 y/o. The owner acquired her from a friend who passed. Candy was previously abused by a previous trainer and has been a companion horse for Briosa. She has had some ground work and has been receptive. She is skittish with new things, but learns quickly. Over the summer, the owner’s daughter worked with her and she quickly became lovable and enjoyed being petted all over. She is playful and enjoys running around the corral. She has never been trained to ride. She has papers. She has been trailered. Candy is healthy, but needs her feet trimmed and needs vaccinations. She had her teeth floated two years ago. She currently eats cubes and hay, but prefers hay.
