January 30, 2020 By ezarkos

Hanaeleh helps to network horses who need homes, free of charge. These horses are offered free to a good home, but an adoption agreement and contract are often suggested. Hanaeleh is not responsible for any of the information provided and does not know anything beyond what is listed in the post- please contact the owner directly.  We were contacted by a young woman who is trying to find a safe home for her horse. Rosie is NOT at Hanaeleh- she is currently at a facility in Southern California. … [Read more...]

UPDATE: Cindy Lou and Noelle

January 27, 2020 By ezarkos

We thought that people would like an update of our Christmas rescues, Cindy Lou and Noelle! They are both up in a foster home at Sylmar, and are gaining weight and doing well. Noelle is the chestnut mare we rescued when the man who purchased her at auction no longer wanted her. She faced an uncertain future, and possibly would have been shipped to slaughter if Auction Horses Rescue had not intervened and asked us if we could take her. Thankfully, although Noelle had quite a bit of neglect and … [Read more...]

UPDATE: Haven and Cullen Visit the Vet

January 24, 2020 By ezarkos

Cullen

On Thursday, the vet came out to see Haven and Cullen. It was a bit confusing for the secretary when I called, because I wasn't sure if Cullen would have gained enough weight by then to get the shot, and I also wanted the vet to assess Haven's knee, and see if maybe injecting it would be helpful. I also wanted the vet's honest opinion about Haven's potential for recovery; I don't want to put any animal through needless pain, and I wanted to make sure she wasn't suffering. Thankfully, the vet … [Read more...]
