Southern CA: 13 y/o Cremello Quarter Horse Mare Needs Home

September 26, 2021 By ezarkos

Hanaeleh helps to network horses who need homes, free of charge. These horses are offered free to a good home, but an adoption agreement and contract are often suggested. Hanaeleh is not responsible for any of the information provided and does not know anything beyond what is listed in the post- please contact the owner directly.

Belle is NOT at Hanaeleh- we are just trying to help her owner find her a good home. If you are interested in Belle, please contact the owner, Lydia, directly by email: 11.11thegatewaytoheaven@gmail.com

Belle is a 13 y/o Quarter Horse mare who needs a home with an experienced horse handler. She is a Cremello, which is a unique color where the horse has beautiful blue eyes, a pink nose, and a lovely cream-color coat.

Belle’s owner is looking for a good home for her because she doesn’t have the skill to work with her. Belle’s previous owner passed away, but she had an accident when put into the trailer to get to her new home and hurt her head. She had been roped and experienced some abuse in the past, which explains why she was very head shy when the current owner started working with her. While Belle is doing MUCH better, she needs an experienced handler.

Belle has learned that she can wear a fly mask and halter, but does not like her ears touched at all. She does not like the bit, but is OK with wearing a saddle and working in the round pen. She enjoys running around in the arena as well. She is also very nervous when her feet are picked up, and the farrier has to use a gel sedation in order to trim her feet. That being said, the owner says that she doesn’t bite and she doesn’t kick. She just needs someone to love her who is able to work through her issues and teach her to trust humans again.

Belle loves to be brushed and get baths. She has come a long way with her current owner, but she realizes that Belle needs someone more experienced to help work through some of her issues.

Belle is currently barefoot. She eats alfalfa, 4-way, and loves to graze.

Belle is NOT at Hanaeleh- we are just trying to help her owner find her a good home. If you are interested in Belle, please contact the owner, Lydia, directly: 11.11thegatewaytoheaven@gmail.com
