SAFE WEDNESDAY

October 20, 2015 By ezarkos

We need to get our representatives and the public aware of the SAFE Act and how it can help stop horse slaughter. We know you’re busy, but you can help by just taking five minutes of your time.

In order to get our voices heard, please plan EVERY WEDNESDAY to do these three things:

1. ONE CALL- make a phone call to your representative. Tell your representative that you would like him/her to support the SAFE Act, HR 1942.  This will literally take TWO MINUTES of your time. If you don’t know your representative’s phone number, you can look it up here:

http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

Once you have the phone number, keep it somewhere so you can use it to call next Wednesday, too.

2.  ONE TWEET- tweet out to tell your friends to support the SAFE Act and ask them to tell their representatives as well. Please use the hashtag: #YES2SAFE .  This will take ONE MINUTE.

3. ONE SHARE- share on your Facebook, Instagram or other social media outlet about the SAFE Act. You can share one of the pictures that Hanaeleh or another rescue has on their site, or you can write a short sentence to tell your friends to support the SAFE Act.  This will also take ONE MINUTE.

If everyone takes less than five minutes every Wednesday to help support the SAFE Act, we may just have a chance at getting this passed!

Every Wednesday: One Call, One Tweet, One Share
