We have been contacted by an owner in Riverside, CA who can no longer care for his two Tennessee Walking Horse mares and is seeking a safe, loving home for them as soon as possible.
Meet Midnight & Sugar:
Midnight (25) mare:
Color: white with grey spots
Health: Possible arthritis in the hips/hocks. Her previous owner did not get her trimmed regularly. Now that she is getting adequate farrier care she seems more comfortable.
Hooves: Shoes on the front and barefoot in the back.
Temperament: Calm and sweet
Sugar (24) mare:
Color: white with blonde mane
Health: Seems to be in good health except for old age and arthritis.
Hooves: barefoot good overall. Just normal trimming.
Temperament: A bit spicy
Both are currently fed senior pellets and alfalfa hay.
They were previously neglected and haven’t been ridden in some time. Light riding may be possible, but they are best suited for a retirement or companion home. They are best friends and the owner strongly prefers to keep them together.
