Journey is a nine year-old Appaloosa mare who was saved from a kill-lot in Louisiana (the horses who don’t get purchased get sent to slaughter). Her owner had her quarantined and moved to California, but her situation has suddenly changed and she is now no longer able to take care of the horse. She rescued Journey from a certain death, but now Journey’s fate is uncertain.
Unfortunately, because Journey had to go through the quarantine process, her owner doesn’t know much about her, other than the fact that she has a sweet, gentle demeanor. She ties and loads well. Journey had her teeth floated in October, 2021, and her 5-way vaccine in November, 2021. She is barefoot but has not had her hooves trimmed since October, so she is due for a trim.
