Lexie Update

November 30, 2014 By ezarkos

First of all, thank you to all of those people who have donated to Lexie’s cause!  It is so very much appreciated!

Lexie is continuing to do well. Today Emily and I spent about a half an hour bathing her hind legs and under her tail. We would have given her a full bath, but the weather was not cooperating, so that will have to wait. Misa spent a long time brushing her out yesterday, and Emily brushed out her mane and tail again today.  Lexie has been very patient through all of our ministrations, and we are very thankful for that.  Her spirits are good and she has settled in better than even I would have anticipated.

Lexie is also eating well and is in starry-eyed love with Brutus who lives next door.  Brutus seems to like her well enough, although I personally think Brutus is just very happy that she is not as strict of a next-door neighbor as Gypsy (who is still up top and who is still really super angry at me).

We will continue to post updates about Lexie, so make sure to look for them. Thank you again to those who have donated to help Lexie- we really appreciate your support!
