UPDATE: SAFE! Lancaster, CA: Shetland Pony Mare Needs Home

November 21, 2021 By ezarkos

UPDATE: Safe! This little girl was helped by Hanaeleh to get to the Southern California Miniature Horse Sanctuary. We know she will get the love and care she needs there!

xxxxx

Hanaeleh was contacted by a woman who rescued two ponies from a neglectful situation. She was able to find a home for one pony, but she is still looking for a home for the little mare. The pony is NOT at Hanaeleh- for more information, please contact the owner Jennifer directly: jenniferhall98@yahoo.com or by phone: (661) 429-1837. Please share!

Sissy is a 20+ year-old Shetland Pony. She is a cute little black and white paint color. She is barefoot and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations, teeth, and farrier care. She has foundered in the past, so she is currently eating at low-sugar diet of Bermuda hay with orchard pellets. She also has had an eye allergy, so the owner keeps her in a fly mask, with occasional ointment to treat the allergy, but otherwise she is healthy.

Sissy is not mean, but she has not been treated well in the past and doesn’t trust people. She would be a lovely companion for another horse. She would not be a good candidate for a child or for riding. She just needs someplace where she can feel safe and secure.

Sissy is NOT at Hanaeleh. If you are interested in Sissy, please contact the owner Jennifer directly: jenniferhall98@yahoo.com or by phone: (661) 429-1837. Please share!
