A few weeks ago, we got an urgent message about three little kittens, only about 10 weeks old. Because they were unsocialized and a bit spicy, no one was interested in adopting them, and they were at risk of being euthanized. We hoped another rescue could step in, but at the last minute, when it looked like no one else could help, we took them in ourselves.
Thankfully, one of our amazing volunteers, Michelle, opened her home to foster them and help them learn to trust people. She’s done a fantastic job! While they still hide and sometimes hiss or let out a low growl, they’re getting better every day — no swatting, striking, or biting. They can now be held and petted (head to tail!) and even purr when they’re feeling safe.
Both kittens are very playful. The grey kitten is the braver of the two, while the white and grey one prefers to stick close by and needs a bit more time to build confidence. Both are boys and have been neutered.
Michelle says, “They are super cute and ready for a new home. They are still a little shy, but good with dogs and other cats and are very playful!”
Their perfect adopter would have experience with cats or kittens — extra points if you’ve worked with shy cats before. If you’re interested in adopting one (or both!) of these sweet boys, please email or call us with your contact information, and we’ll connect you with their foster family.
