Please note that we have passed along all information for any prospective owners to the owner, so hopefully she has either found a new home for her horse, or will contact those people in the future. We were contacted by a woman who is looking for a home for her dark bay 8 y/o Thoroughbred gelding. He is barefoot and sound, but he needs a trainer and/or experienced rider, as he is a young Thoroughbred.
This poor horse has been through a lot- his owner adopted him from a rescue, then realized he was too much horse, and gave him back after just two days. The rescue is relocating to South Dakota, so they were just going to euthanize him rather than try to find him a home, which was when the current owner stepped in.
He is green broke and has been started under saddle. He is completely sound- he has not been raced- he just isn’t trained. He needs someone experienced to work with him, and so far in his life he hasn’t had that. Because he has been passed around to so many different owners, he is a bit disconnected and it takes him a while to warm up to people.
