Ever wanted to meet our rescued horses in person? Now’s your chance! Join us for the Hanaeleh Open House – a special day to tour our sanctuary, hear each horse’s rescue story, and experience the magic of what your support makes possible.

We’re located in Trabuco Canyon, South Orange County, CA
Hanaeleh is proud to be the only non-profit horse rescue in Orange County. For the safety of our horses, we keep our address private until you RSVP.

To attend, please complete the RSVP form below by Noon on Friday, June 6, 2025. 
Once we receive your RSVP, we’ll send directions and parking details.

Admission is free – but donations are always appreciated. Every dollar goes directly to feed, vet care, and support for our rescued horses.

Children under 16 are welcome, but must remain with a parent or guardian at all times. Safety is our top priority.

Plan to arrive by 12:00 PM.
The tour starts promptly at 12:15 PM so please leave a 10-minute buffer to park. Someone will be at the entrance to guide you.

What to Wear:

  • Dress in layers – mornings can be cool, but it warms up quickly.

  • Our property is sunny, slightly uphill and rugged (no paving). Closed-toe shoes or boots are recommended for safety. Please no sandals – open-toe footwear and horses don’t mix and can be hazardous.

What to Bring:

  • We’ll have water available, but feel free to bring your own water and snacks.

  • You may want to bring sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses).

  • You’re welcome to bring carrots or apples to share with the horses (they’ll thank you for it!).

Parking Info:

  • A volunteer will be on site to guide you.

  • Our ranch is located in a rural residential area — please be respectful of our neighbors.

  • Street parking is available, and you may be directed to park on the property depending on space.

  • Do not park within 30 feet of any horse trailers.

Hanaeleh is a 501(c)(3) (Tax ID 20-3255341) non-profit horse rescue operating in Southern California since 2004. We’re Platinum-Star rated on Candid/Guidestar. 

We rescue all breeds and ages of horses, and after we rehabilitate them, we work to find them new loving homes. When horses are not adoptable due to severe neglect or abuse, we provide sanctuary for them to live out their days knowing they’ll always be loved and cared for.
