On Sunday we welcomed Ferdinand into our flock of sheepies! He was pretty sad to be separated from his other siblings, but Phillip and Magellan were very nice to him (well, Magellan did head-butt him once, but after that he was nice). Ferdinand is Phillip and Magellan’s half-brothers, so they are all family, after all. 🙂
Ferdinand will stay in the sheep pen for a week or so until he gets settled in with our routine, and then he can come out with Phillip and Magellan to graze around the property. He is very sweet, and is curious, so he may come up to you at the barn. Remember that he is only about eight months old, however, so he may be a little tentative- just be patient and he will come around. We don’t want to scare him!
