Atwater, CA: Two Thoroughbreds Need Home ASAP
We were contacted by a woman who is trying to help her friend place her two Thoroughbred horses. The owner is older and unable to care for the horses, and additionally has to move out of state to live with relatives. She is heartbroken to have to leave her horses behind. Garnet Comes Home: Surgery/Recovery Days Eleven through Seventeen

Days Eleven & Twelve: Monday 10/4 and Tuesday 10/5 We spoke with the doctor who said Garnet was healing well, but her breathing was still very labored. While it wasn't as bad as it was before the surgery, it was still obvious that she was not comfortable. RIP Dave Seroski
Today we said goodbye to Dave Seroski, a friend and supporter of Hanaeleh. Dave passed away suddenly in his sleep last week. Dave was often at Hanaeleh, making any number of things for the horses: flashing reflectors, hay bags, customized rope halters for all of our new horses, a roof for the ATV, arm guards- whatever we needed, Dave would find a way to make it.
