Awful News: RIP Rio and RIP Freya

Monday, January 3, 2022 was so awful I don't even know how to explain it. I was called out early Monday morning because Freya was having some difficulties getting up. She has severe DSLD (fallen fetlocks) in her hind legs, so as this disease progresses, it makes it more and more difficult for her to use her hind legs. Hanaeleh is Looking for a Permanent Home

Hanaeleh moved into our currently facility in Trabuco Canyon 13 years ago. It is a lovely property: quiet and safe. We have spent a lot of time and money into improving the property, including putting in electrical wires for lights, running water pipes so every horse has an automatic waterer, putting up stalls and shelters, sheds, etc. Although we have a lot invested in the property, the owner is not interested in selling it, so purchasing it is not an option.
