September 13, 2024 By Hanaeleh

We are still evacuated and we continue to monitor the fire information. The fire is about 24,000 acres and 8% contained (as of Friday 9/13 afternoon). The weather is definitely cooperating with higher humidity, a marine layer and much cooler temps (78°). As soon as the warning is lifted, we will begin the process of returning to the ranch. We’re hoping it’s this weekend but we’re not sure. 12 horses are at Serrano: Garnet, Venus, Ladybug, Sierra, Star, Andromeda and Tillie are in temporary … [Read more...]

Sad News: RIP Quixote

September 12, 2024 By ezarkos

We are so very saddened to report that Quixote passed away early this (Wednesday) morning due to colic. As you may know, we had to evacuate Monday evening due to the Airport Fire here in Trabuco Canyon. Quixote was a bit stressed on Monday evening after we trailered him and Lou Dillon together to safety, but they seemed to settle down and we made sure that they were placed right next to one another once they arrived. Tuesday morning, however, he had a bad case of choke (a blockage in the … [Read more...]

He is on Cosequin, but the vet has said he is healthy and technically doesn't need any supplements except for preventative … [Read more...]
