Hanaeleh Board and Cabinet Positions Open Spring 2013
Board Positions: Board members should be willing to be at Hanaeleh two to three days a week, and at least one Saturday a month, including attending all volunteer/board meetings. Board members are expected to attend all Hanaeleh-affiliated activities, including sitting at booths, working at fundraisers, etc.
Vice President- Aids the President The Vice President’s main role will be assisting the President and working on grants and accreditation paperwork. The Vice President will also be expected to oversee volunteers at the rescue.
Secretary- Takes minutes at meetings and sends to members Oversees newsletter and website design In addition to the above, the Secretary will be in charge of keeping an address list and phone tree for all volunteers. The Secretary is a liaison between the newsletter/web designer and President. The Secretary also works with the Volunteer Chair to coordinate Horse Care Clinics and answer e-mails from new volunteers.
Treasurer- Creates yearly budget Collects monies and pays bills Files yearly IRS and State tax paperwork Sends receipts to donors
Cabinet Positions: Cabinet positions are invited to attend all volunteer/board meetings, but are not required to do so. Cabinet members are also encouraged, but not required, to volunteer at Hanaeleh on a weekly basis.
Newsletter Chair: Reports to Secretary. Creates quarterly newsletter (electronically) and distributes to members.
Website Chair: Reports to Secretary. Creates and updates Hanaeleh website.
Social Media Coordinator: Reports to Secretary. Updates social media sites and works closely with the Website Chair.
Volunteer Chair: Reports to Secretary. Fields e-mails and phone calls for potential volunteers, creates waiting list for Horse Care Clinic.
Community Liaison (this can be held by multiple individuals): Reports to President. Attends local ETI and other horse club meetings as a representative of Hanaeleh. Organizes and maintains booths at various events.
Fundraising Chair (this can be held by multiple individuals): Reports to Treasurer. Coordinates fundraisers throughout the year.
Historian: Reports to President and Secretary. Takes pictures, collects newspaper and magazine articles, web articles, etc. regarding anything to do with Hanaeleh or its horses.
