URGENT PIG RESCUE! (Also, Great Pyrenees dogs)- All Need Homes/Donations

We were contacted tonight about a hoarding situation. There were seven Great Pyrenees (dogs), three pigs and two goats who were emaciated and living in filth. Animal Control allowed a dog rescue to take the dogs, but the owner refused to turn over the goats, and instead had them slaughtered that day (they were what was being fed to the dogs). Our beautiful Onyx continues to improve everyday. One of the most satisfying aspects of being in rescue is seeing the horses not only improve physically, but also emotionally and mentally. Onyx came to Hanaeleh literally hundreds of pounds underweight. Because she had Cushings disease that was not being treated, the food she was getting was literally killing her, throwing her cortisol levels over 50 times of what should be normal. UPDATE: Sapphire

Last month, our lovely Sapphire developed some swelling along her leg. There didn't appear to be any cut or heat, so we wrapped it, thinking maybe that she had cast herself. The following day, however, the leg was *MORE* swollen, so we knew that there was something else going on, including cellulitis (a bacterial infection that is under the skin). Hanaeleh was recently contacted by Shauna who runs Rising Strides because she needs help rehoming one of her horses, Grace. Grace has had two minor seizures, and while she is still rideable, there is a risk that she could have a seizure while under saddle. The seizures do not prevent her from having a full life otherwise.
