Help “Gustav” 21 y/o Hanoverian Gelding Find a Home! (Orange CA)
We are helping a woman find a good, safe home for her horse. Gustav is a beautiful 21 year old (born 4/26/03) Hanoverian. He is a little over 18 hands, so he is a very tall boy! He traveled to the U.S. from Germany and the owner has had him since he was six years old. Goose (the owner says she only calls him Gustav when he's naughty) was a show jumper, but bone chips prevent him from being sound for riding. Sad News: RIP Raven
Right before the Airport fire and ensuing evacuation, we had another tragedy that hit us: we lost our lovely Friesian, Raven. We have been so overwhelmed with evacuating and then bringing everyone back that we didn't have the time nor the heart to announce her passing. Raven came to Hanaeleh at the end of 2021- she had been sold after she was no longer able to produce any more babies, and she ended up being donated to a lesson program. How We Finally Got Ulysses to Load on the Trailer for Home
Here is the story of how we finally got Ulysses home after our harrowing evacuation from the Airport Fire. After 4 attempts with other people’s trailers (and their generous help), the 5th try with our own trailer was the winner. Ulysses arrived home on Saturday 9/21.
