UPDATE: We were contacted by the family that these two mares were sent to a retirement facility and will be cared for. Thank you to everyone who shared these two! We were contacted by Rusty Richards, a well-known cowboy, horse trainer, and part of the musical group Sons of the Pioneers about rehoming his two Quarter horse mares. San Diego, CA: Hackney Pony Needs Home ASAP
We were contacted by a woman in San Diego county who helped someone rescue a Hackney pony when his owners moved to Arizona and could not take him. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to care for him, either, and would like to find him a new home. She is uncertain how old he is, but assumes he is in his mid-20s.
