(Winnemucca, NV) On August 30th, Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge was sent a letter on behalf of Bonnie Kohleriter, a private individual, and Laura Leigh, President of Wild Horse Education, attempting to address serious issues concerning the Refuge’s plan to remove 412 wild horses starting September 9th. Quixote
Quixote Adult Andalusian/Thoroughbred gelding Rescued July 2013 Quixote is a 16 hand Thoroughbred and Andalusian gelding. He was originally an eventer who jumped around four feet fences. He was used as a lesson horse until he was sold to a family. Unfortunately, the daughter lost interest in horses, and Quixote was not ridden or exercised regularly. RIP Samantha the Chicken
It is with sadness I must state that Samantha (one of our chickens) passed away last night. She was a little "off" on Sunday, and yesterday she was very lethargic, so we separated her, expecting to take her to the vet today. Unfortunately, she passed away sometime last night. We will bury her alongside of her sister, Tabitha. Samantha was a very good chicken, laying up through this spring, and would come when you called her.
