Many of you may remember Delilah, who was adopted last November. She and her owner have been doing wonderfully together. Unfortunately, this past month Delilah had a major medical issue where a tumor in her jaw exploded. Her owner did extensive testing and worked with her vet to help save Delilah. UPDATE: Brutus
We rescued Brutus a little over a year ago (you can read more about Brutus' time at Hanaeleh here). He has been progressing well, albeit slowly, partly due to his immaturity and partly due to the fact that was very malnourished. When we first took him in, we were concerned that his growth would be stunted due to his being obviously underfed for a very long time. Savannah, Tamahome and Girl Scouts
Hanaeleh was invited to present at a local Girl Scout Jamboree in Irvine this month. The girls learned about feed, tack, parts of the horse and horse behavior. We also taught them how to approach a horse and the girls were able to pet them as well. Our two ambassadors were Savannah and Tamahome, who enjoyed their time with the girls, getting treats and attention (they also enjoyed eating the grass!).
