Beauty’s owner came to Hanaeleh because she needed to find a home for her arthritic, 26 year-old horse.  Beauty is a very sweet horse, but her arthritis kept her from being easily adoptable. Hanaeleh contacted Cara, who had taken Mr. Ed, and she was willing to take Beauty for her mother.  Hanaeleh took yet another 10-hour trip up to Petaluma where they dropped off Beauty and said hello to Mr. Ed.  Beauty lives in a pasture with the other “crippled” horses on Cara’s ranch.

We are still evacuated and we continue to monitor the fire information. The fire is about 24,000 acres and 8% contained (as of Friday 9/13 afternoon).
