Parker is a 20 year-old chestnut Quarter horse who needs a home. He is currently at Baldwin Park Animal Shelter- this is the same shelter where we rescued Lou Dillon. He was found as a stray horse, wandering around Compton, CA. He was emaciated, had a growth on his genitals, horrible thrush in his back feet, and canker in his front feet. The shelter was able to perform a surgery in order to remove the growth and has been treating the thrush and canker in his feet. He has gained some weight but still needs more.
Unfortunately, we are full and do not have any room at this time for any additional horses, so we are hoping to network this guy and find him a good home. Parker needs a soft landing with someone who can take him and show him the love he obviously has not received. We don’t know much beyond what we have written here- if can adopt Parker, or know someone who can, please contact the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter directly: (626) 962-3577. Parker’s intake number is: #A5406784.
