There are four horses on a ranch in Bakersfield, CA. The woman who owned them unfortunately passed away and they now all need homes ASAP- by the end of the month if possible.
We were told that these horses were all brought to the ranch earlier this year, but haven’t been ridden in several months, although they have all been treated well, exercised regularly and all are in good weight. All of the horses are currently eating alfalfa hay and some senior feed. All of the horses are currently barefoot and all were dewormed in August. They last were trimmed in July, so all four horses are overdue for the farrier. The horses are also due for their vaccinations.
Perry
Perry is a 20+ year-old gelding. He is about 16 hands. He is super sweet and easy to handle. He was previously a show horse and is rideable.
Brownie
Brownie is a BLM Mustang mare. She is 13+ years old, and is around 14.2 hands. She is a little on the shy side and it is unknown if she is rideable.
Disco Sam
Disco Sam is a 15 year-old Quarter horse mare who is very sweet and very easy to handle. She was trained as a barrel racer. She is rideable.
Monk
Monk is a 35 year-old Mustang gelding pony. He is around 13 hands. He is sweet but a little spunky, even at his age. He was a rescue from a rodeo.
