SAFE! Urgent: 3 Quarter Horses Need Homes by THIS Saturday 4/24

April 22, 2021 By ezarkos

UPDATE: These horses are safe! The owner notified us that she found a person who will take all three horses, so they can all stay together! Thank you to everyone who shared the post- together we can help save them all!

We are hoping the Hanaeleh network can make a miracle happen! There are three horses up in Taft, CA (near Bakersfield) who need homes. The owner is moving (she needs to be out by THIS SATURDAY- 4/24) and her trailer broke and cannot take them with her.

These horses are not at Hanaeleh. FOR MORE INFORMATION, or if you can help, even temporarily, please contact the owner Kathy directly: (661) 623-0631.

The owner is looking for EITHER:

1. Someone who can help transport them to her new home in Montana

OR

2. Take all three horses (she would like them to go together if possible)

The horses are all registered Quarter horses (she said the papers are packed and she would have to send them to the new owner once she got to Montana).

All of the horses were ridden previously and the mare, Penny is a retired barrel racer. Unfortunately, the owner and her parents are all disabled so the horses have not been ridden in several years

*Penny- 20 y/o QH mare (retired barrel racer)

*Doc- 24 y/0 QH gelding

*Woody- 18 y/0 QH gelding
