Avalanche is a beautiful and well-loved 15 year-old Trakehner gelding who needs a very special owner. He is 16 hands. He has some arthritis as he is getting older, and a vet has recommended hock injections. Avalanche currently has shoes with pads on all four feet, and it is suggested that he continue to have these for his comfort. He is rideable but his hind leg comes up short when riding and seems to cause him some issues. He needs an experienced handler.
Avalanche’s owner is 18 and she is no longer financially able to care for him. Because of his issues, she is concerned about finding him a home where he will be properly cared for. She would like to potentially be able to come out in the future and visit him if possible as well. He currently is eating cubes and Timothy hay, and is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations.
