Open House/Workday

Have you ever wanted to meet and hang out with our rescued horses? Come join us for our “workday” open house. Every 2 months or so, we invite our community to come out and help us with a little physical work around the barn. This time, we have some mulch that needs to be spread around the property. We do this every year to keep the dust down.

Come on out! You’ll also get a tour of the property, meet each horse and hear their story. You’re welcome to bring carrots, apples and/or celery for the horses if you wish. (2 of our horses can only have celery due to medical conditions).

We’re located in Trabuco Canyon (Orange County) CA. We are the only non-profit horse rescue in Orange County.

Donation not required…but certainly welcome! Every penny donated goes to our horses care!

Hanaeleh is a small volunteer-only rescue established in 2004 in So Cal. We are a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit, donations are tax-deductible (TaxID 20-3255341) and we’re a verified rescue with Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.

Children under the age of 18 but must be constantly supervised by their parent or guardian. #safetyfirst

To sign up and get directions, email Katie, our volunteer coordinator, at volunteer@hanaeleh.org We keep our address private for the safety of our horses. Thanks for understanding 🙂

Please only park off the pavement in designated spaces. There will be a volunteer to direct you until 9:15am.

NOTE: If you just want to come out for the tour, it starts at 11:30am.
